Katie writes poetry and fiction and creates illustrations. She lives in Pacifica, California, where animals pop by her windows 'round the clock. From the kitchen sink, whales come snapping out of the ocean. In periphery while drinking coffee, a hawk will swoop by the living room, mole in claw. At night, raccoons fill the hillside. Their fur is silhouetted before the sea. Their chatter peppers her dreams.
